Digital Nomad Visa Requirements 2026

For remote workers employed by or contracted to non-Spanish companies.

The Digital Nomad Visa (DNV) allows non-EU remote workers and freelancers to live legally in Spain while working for employers or clients based outside Spain. It was introduced in 2023 under the Startups Law and grants an initial 1-year residence permit, renewable to 3 years, then 2 more. The minimum income threshold is currently under review: verify the current figure with your consulate before applying.
